Home Fix Cost Guide publishes independent cost research for common home repairs and replacements in the United States. Every guide answers one practical question — what does this project actually cost? — and backs the answer with price ranges by project size, material grade, and region.

What we do

We are a small team of writers who work with licensed tradespeople — plumbers, electricians, HVAC contractors, roofers, and general contractors — to build realistic price ranges. Each article is reviewed by someone who has priced or performed that work in the field, and is dated so you can see how current it is. We update guides when materials, labor rates, or code requirements move enough to change the numbers.

What we are not

We are not a contractor, a lead broker's marketing site, or a manufacturer. We do not sell your project details, and we do not accept payment to change a price range or a recommendation. When we link to a service that connects you with local pros, we say so plainly on the page.

How we pay for it

The site is supported by display advertising and by referral fees from home-services partners. Advertising is clearly labelled and kept away from the buttons and navigation. Referral relationships are disclosed on every page where they appear and in our Affiliate Disclosure. None of it changes what we publish.

Corrections
